Oceaneering International, Inc. has successfully conducted the first onshore remote piloting of a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) in the U.K. sector for bp. The operations were conducted from Oceaneering’s Onshore Remote Operations Center (OROC) in Stavanger, Norway.
Oceaneering designed a specialist vehicle for the renewables industry able to increase the operational window of these niche areas of the East Coast of the USA, North Sea, and East Asia, which are affected by strong currents.
