Supporting ONR and NAVSEA
We partner with the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to develop next-generation technologies that enhance at-sea logistics for expeditionary warfare, humanitarian missions, and other critical maritime operations. Our at-sea cargo transfer systems are engineered for reliability, safety, and operational efficiency—even in elevated sea states.

Large Vessel Interface Lift On/Lift Off
We developed a motion-compensated robotic crane to enable the secure transfer of standard containerized cargo between ships at sea in conditions up to sea state 4. This advanced system senses the relative motion of an adjacent vessel and actively synchronizes the movement of the cargo container, reducing both transfer time and risk to crew and equipment.
Interface Ramp Technologies (IRT)
Our motion-controlled transfer ramp features a lightweight aluminum structure and an innovative hydraulic/electric drive system. Designed to support large vehicle transfers at sea, the IRT maintains stability and performance in dynamic conditions, ensuring safe passage between vessels during operational deployments.

Advanced Mooring System (AMS)
The AMS enables rapid, automated mooring between ships in up to sea state 4. Secured to the deck of the host vessel, the AMS uses articulating vacuum pads on telescoping booms to attach to an approaching ship—without lines or crew intervention. This lineless mooring system significantly improves safety while minimizing surge, sway, and yaw compared to traditional methods, making it ideal for U.S. Marine operations and humanitarian aid missions.
