Sustainability Efforts

India is the first country in the world to make corporate social responsibility (CSR) mandatory. Oceaneering is committed to contributing to economic, social, and environmental development. In our continuous endeavor to work towards human rights, the community, the environment, and society, we have completed various initiatives under our CSR program.

Project Ripple

Project Ripple is an Oceaneering India initiative in collaboration with Deepalaya, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that aims at educating underprivileged children. We assisted Deepalaya with a donation that was used to provide elementary education and conduct workshops and trainings, to make learning interesting and interactive for the students.

Tree Plantation 2023 (1)

Tree Plantation

We partnered with Environment Matters, a Chandigarh-based NGO, to host a mass tree-planting drive in 2023 to promote environmental awareness and increase green coverage in the region. The joint event witnessed hundreds of participants from each organization, resulting in the plantation of various saplings.

STEM Event

The Oceaneering Women’s Network (OWN) India Chapter team collaborated with CRY (Child Rights and You) NGO and organized a STEM event for 25 school children to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child. The event was aimed at introducing young minds to the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through an engaging office tour and a series of hands-on activities.

CRY (Children Rights and You)

Child Rights and You is an Indian NGO that works towards ensuring children's rights. Oceaneering India joined hands with CRY to support #LearnNotEarn initiative. This collaboration aimed to promote children's education and combat the issue of child labor.

In 1964, Mike Hughes and Johnny Johnson formed a Gulf of Mexico diving company called World Wide Divers. The company grew in response to increasing demand for their services and in 1969 merged with two other diving companies to form Oceaneering International, Inc.
