Angola is one of the key oil and gas producers in Africa, and an important region for Oceaneering. Our operations are led by our local subsidiary Oceaneering Angola, S.A. We have been present in Angola since the 1980s, providing ROVs, diving, asset integrity, vessel management, engineering, machining, fabrication and other services.

The Facility

The Viana facility is a one-stop shop offering drawing, concept through to fabrication, machining through to painting and QA/QC check, as well as testing and deployment (electrical power, pressure testing, fluid, gas).

The Talent

We have a strong commitment to Angola and its people. That’s why Oceaneering is developing local talent, including in key positions, and providing access to strong professional development programs for specialist roles and other fields.

The Training

Our training centers house two ROV simulators, both hydraulic and electronic practical training rooms, multiple classrooms, a high-voltage training facility, a working at heights practical, a Learning Management System online training room with eight workstations, and an auditorium.

From concept to fabrication, testing to deployment, our 132,000-square-meter, world-class, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose, Viana Manufacturing and Service Center is a one-stop-shop for the oil and gas industry in Angola.

Our integrated, purpose-built facility leverages its predominantly Angolan workforce, to locally manufacture products as well as provide full life-of-field support. Viana’s motto is, “In Angola, by Angolans for Angolans.”
