Subsea Pumping Technology SPT

March 15, 2019 – Houston, Texas –  Oceaneering International, Inc. (“Oceaneering”) will be recognized at the 2019 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) with a Spotlight on New Technology® Award for its Subsea Pumping Technology (SPT).

This advanced technology was selected based on its innovative technology, broad appeal to the industry, and significant impact with benefits beyond existing technologies.

With SPT, operators can reduce or completely eliminate their topside footprint by moving chemical storage and injection capabilities subsea, offering alternate value-added contributions to subsea tieback architectures and other operational applications where chemicals or hydraulics are required for operational integrity management or flow assurance purposes on subsea production systems.

SPT supports the move toward unmanned or subsea factories, along with all-electric technologies currently being implemented in subsea architecture. SPT removes the need for complex umbilicals, allowing operators to engage in longer tiebacks with reduced capital expenditures.

Roderick A. Larson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Oceaneering, stated, “We are honored to be recognized by the Offshore Technology Conference. Spotlight on New Technology highlights the latest and most advanced technologies that are leading our industry, and Subsea Pumping Technology is an example of how we are thinking about what’s next to deliver safe and cost-effective technology solutions.”

Celebrating 50 years, OTC takes place on 6-9 May, 2019, in Houston. The Spotlight on New Technology Awards will be presented on 6 May at 16:00 in the NRG Center Rotunda Lobby.
