September 25, 2023 – Houston, Texas – Oceaneering International announces today that its Oceaneering Mobile Robotics (OMR) group will relocate its German office in September 2023 to better serve customers and meet the growing market demand for our mobile robotic forklifts and underride vehicles.
OMR’s sales and service office will re-locate from Leinfelden-Echterdingen to Freiberg am Neckar, north of Stuttgart. The new location offers expanded office space, a large workshop area, and increased storage space for spare parts.
Henny Bouwmeester, Vice President and General Manager, OMR, stated: “The new location is a modern space that matches our growth ambitions. It offers a significant, large workshop area where we can give live demonstrations of our MaxMover™ counterbalance forklift and UniMover™ underride robots. It also allows us to extend our local service capabilities where we can provide on-site services 24/7 with German-speaking service and project engineers.”
Hendrik Hörisch, Branch Manager, OMR Germany, stated: “Our move to Freiberg am Neckar signifies a crucial step in our growth journey. It reflects our commitment to advancing mobile robotics technology while ensuring our customers receive the utmost attention and services.”
OMR is also continuing its cooperation with independent AGV consulting and integration company ProLog Automation GmbH, headquartered in nearby Stuttgart. Being closer to their location allows for quicker scale-up in service and commissioning demand.
“This collaboration with ProLog represents an ideal synergy, seamlessly merging our extensive industry expertise with the innovative BlueBotics’ Autonomous Navigation Technology (ANT), which stands as the forefront of natural navigation solution for automated vehicles in the market,” said Hendrik Hörisch.
