Chemical Injection Throttle Valves

rotator-citvRotator’s Chemical Injection Throttle Valves help operators of subsea fields improve field profitability through lower costs and improved oil recovery.

Rotator is one of the world’s leading manufacturing companies of robust, reliable and field proven Chemical Injection Throttle Valves (CTV). Our products and expertise help maintain the flow of oil and gas from reservoir to reception facilities throughout the lifetime of the field. As your natural choice and partner in flow assurance, we can ensure cost optimized solutions for subsea distributed chemical injection systems.

Rotator’s CTVs have been in service since 1995, distributing chemicals to subsea wells on a variety of oil and gas fields across the world. Types of CTVs are manually/ROV operated, electrically remote operated and retrievable or fixed mounted designs. More than 300 manual and remotely operable units have been delivered and are currently in operation. Over 100 of these are electric remote operated.

Our CTVs have a reputation for high quality, excellent performance and reliability. Products are designed for water depths in excess of 4000 meters and to save costs by precise dosage of chemicals – also by single line subsea distributed chemical injection. Rotator CTVs cover a range of chemicals from MEG, Methanol to scale, corrosion, wax, demulsifier and asphaltene inhibitors.

Through continuous and extensive product development, the CTV has been improved for subsea applications. Development of the patented VisCom® VTC, based on our well known remotely operable and retrievable CTVs ensure continuous improvements in performance, robustness and reliability.

Our remotely controlled and ROV operated subsea CTVs truly represents field proven technology used for injection of a variety of different chemicals. Key CTV features are:

  • Proven technology with over 300 subsea installations
  • Accurate and repeatable flow adjustment
  • Wide flow range with high flow rate turndown ratio
  • Rugged and contamination tolerant design
  • Large flow areas and a self cleaning feature ensures minimal risk of clogging
  • No sudden pressure drops, minimizing the risk of erosion and cavitation
