Hub Tools

AX/VX Gasket Tool [Data Sheet]
The AX/VX Gasket Tool is used to remove and replace the 183⁄4in AX and VX style gaskets, which are placed inside the wellhead. The tool engages into the gasket bore and sits flush with the top of the gasket. It is then energized via the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) hydraulics. The cylinder forces 2 gripping pads to separate and grasp the inner bore of the gasket and the bumps on the OD of the pads line up with groove in the gasket and prevent the gasket from sliding down.

The two compression springs keep the tool hooked up to the gasket, in case hydraulic power is lost or interrupted.

The AX/VX Gasket Tool utilizes a flexible T-handle to be positioned by the ROV manipulator.

Gasket Removal Tool [Data Sheet]
The Gasket Removal Tool is designed to remove gaskets from jumper kits by being seated inside the hub. The jumper kit is first removed from the hub, then the tool is installed. The jumper kit is then reset onto the hub. The ball-plunger mechanism engages the gasket and locks it in place as the jumper kit is lifted up and away from the hub. The Gasket Removal Tool is actuated via a hydraulic piston on its handle prior to engagement in the hub.

Hub Cleaning Tool [Data Sheet]
The purpose of the Hub Cleaner is to allow for cleaning of Hub Seal Surfaces while the running tool is installed on the hub. Interchangeable components accommodate many sizes of sealing surfaces and profiles. The Cleaning Modules are made of UHMW plastic to ensure the seal surface is not damaged or scarred, and are equipped with mildly abrasive pads for cleaning. Springs are installed on the rear of the Cleaning Module to ensure uniform contact and limit overloading. The tool is operated via a Hot Stab Manifold.

Connector Cleaning Tool [Data Sheet]
The purpose of the Connector Cleaner is to allow for cleaning of connector seal surfaces while the connector is installed on the running tool. Interchangeable components accommodate cleaning of multiple connector sizes and sealing profiles. The Connector Cleaner operates on a scissor-type jacking system. The Cleaning Modules are made of UHMW plastic to ensure the seal surface is not damaged or scarred and are equipped with mildly abrasive pads for cleaning. Springs are installed on the rear of the Cleaning Module to ensure uniform contact and limit overloading. The tool is operated via a Hot Stab Manifold.

Multipurpose Cleaning Tool [Data Sheet]
The Multipurpose Cleaning Tool (MCT) consists of a brush head rotated by a hydraulic motor. The MCT uses a mild acid cleaning solution dispensed through the brush head. The MCT is equipped with a handle for ROV manipulator use.
