The Master Control Station (MCS) is the central point of control for the BOP Control System. Internal to the enclosure are power supplies, microprocessors, video interface processors, and communications electronics. The network communications equipment will provide the system interface for all inputs and the updating of status outputs.
The MCS provides primary communication and control of all components of the BOP control system through fiber optic and electronic data transfer. Housed within are computers, graphic displays, and switch panels in a high strength industrial type enclosure that provides safety for the equipment and a master control work station desktop environment for command and control activities.
