External Cargo Services

In 1988, Oceaneering and SpaceHab, Inc. formed a partnership to develop a turn-key cargo service based on a generic cargo container capable of carry small to mid-sized cargo items to the International Space Station.  Two flight certified SHOSS Boxes, owned jointly between the two companies, are the key hardware product that enable the service. The boxes are capable of carrying up to 400 pounds of cargo, have flown to space aboard the space shuttle three times (STS-96, STS-101, STS-106), and are scheduled to fly at least one more time.
