The Hydra^® Magnum represents the backbone of Oceaneering’s fleet of high-powered remotely operated vehicle (ROV) work systems with deepwater capabilities. Reliable and easily maintained, the ROV provides a 100 hp, high-thrust, cage-deployed system that is designed to accommodate underwater intervention tasks in support of oil and gas drilling, construction, and production activities.

The most commonly used cursor system in Oceaneering's fleet uses guide wires. This method for constraining the cursor's path has been used many times since 1984 with great success. The guide wire system is typically used on drilling rigs, tension leg platforms, and other similar installations. This method is useful when some horizontal movement is acceptable and there is no structure present to attach rails too. Cursor guide wire lengths range from 140 ft -150 ft.

Located at Mississippi Canyon 582 and moored in 2200 feet of water, the Medusa Spar has a processing capacity of 40,000 bopd and 110 MMscfd.  Medusa serves as a production hub for deepwater field developments in the surrounding Gulf of Mexico area and can accommodate a total of nine subsea wells. The asset came online in 2003 with six dry trees and is now off its peak production plateau.  Built for a robust 20-year design life, the unit has currently available production capacity.
