From space to subsea, Oceaneering supports the oil and gas industry’s underwater testing needs with the NBL, the NASA-owned facility once exclusively reserved for astronaut training.

The Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL), once a dedicated pool facility of the U.S. Space Program, hosts underwater testing, training, systems integration tests, tool tests or rehearsals of processes and procedures for industrial projects prior to offshore deployment or other commercial operations.

Benefits include:

  • Reduced operational risks
  • Lower costs
  • Improved safety knowledge under tightly controlled conditions
