Rotator AS, acquired by Oceaneering in 2003, has introduced field proven chemical distribution valves known as CTVs for use in the Gulf of Mexico or other worldwide deepwater locations. The Rotator CTV, used for distributing chemicals subsea to maximize oil recovery from offshore developments, augments the company's well-known product line of subsea directional control valves.

More than 300 Rotator CTVs are currently in use, primarily installed offshore West Africa and in the North Sea. The company's CTV technology includes a proven and robust new generation redesign that was completed in 2003. One large CTV order destined for a single West African subsea development specifies over 50 valves qualified for 10,000 fsw.
