Oceaneering developed the Pipe Rover to meet the demands for propulsion inspection technologies for large pipelines. The Pipe Rover is used for pipeline diameter between 34-48”.
The Pipe Rover incorporates 6 independent drive units to makeup its tractor propulsion system.
Electro hydraulic solution
The in-house engineered electro hydraulic solution can drive a PipeScan or WeldScan tool into a line. With the flick of a switch it will reverse the complete tool to the entry point.
Goes across the geometries
The pipe rover system supports the ability to manoeuvre through 1 ½ diameter bends. Each motor drive unit of the Pipe Rover is operating independently. This enables Tees and other geometries to be safely traversed.
