Conductor Stabilization Solution (CSS)

This conductor stabilization solution will reduce wave-induced damage, and increase guide stability.

Offshore wave-induced damage to an asset is potentially dangerous and costly. A known problem is the movement of conductors or caissons that impact against conductor guides, resulting in fatigue and fracturing.

How to reduce your wave-induced damage

Oceaneering has developed a solution to the problem, a conductor stabilization method called CSS™, providing increased guide stability over traditional methods. The solution uses an Elastic Polyurethane compound which is cast into the entire length and diameter of the conductor guide. The technique has been used successfully topside since 1999.

In response to client’s demands in 2010 Oceaneering introduced CSS™ Subsea which entirely replaces the traditional need for divers to install centering and chocking solutions. Pre-cast segments are fully installed by ROVs.
