The OSS Product Assurance department oversees the management of our AS 9100 and ISO 9001:2000 certified quality management system (QMS).  The department includes Quality Engineering, Quality Inspection, System Safety, Reliability, Availability & Maintainability Engineering, and Configuration & Data Management.

    • AS 9100 and ISO 9001:2000 Certified
    • Evaluate and flow down Project Requirements
    • Responsible for the Quality and product/system compliance for all products delivered by OSS
    • Produces and maintains the OSS Quality Management System
    • Charters process improvement CI Teams that Involve the quality process
    • Procurement Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, Audits

    • Quality Planning and design review
    • Inspection point determination
    • Certification and Requirements Document origination and tracking
    • Nonconformance and discrepancy reporting
    • Chair Material Review Board
    • Produce Acceptance Data Packages

  • System Safety and Reliability
    • Ensure that safety is a top priority in hardware and software design
    • Parallel the design process, evaluating hardware and software for hazard causes, failure modes effects analyses, maintainability and availability, working with designers to provide design solutions
    • Perform reliability predictions starting with trade studies, and continuing throughout design iterations to drive our design-for-reliability approach

    • Manage the configuration of all drawings and required certification documentation for all products produced by OSS
