Oceaneering has provided hardware for every satellite retrieval or repair mission that NASA has flown. Working backwards in time, we provided: the tool box and 167 tools (67 unique designs) for the first Hubble Space Telescope repair and upgrade mission in 1993, and the second mission in 1997; the equipment stowage assembly and bar stowage assembly for the LEASAT salvage mission (1985); the “stinger” used for capturing the the Westar/Palapa satellite (1984), and the special equipment stowage assembly, power tools, and trunnion pin attachment device for the Solar Max repair mission (1984).
