OSS is a key member of the team responsible for the safe operation of NASA’s two primary astronaut and cosmonaut training facilities, the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) and the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF).
Oceaneering’s extensive background in underwater operations made it the logical choice for our primary responsibility, and its safe and efficient training operations at the NBL. Oceaneering provides the divers, the contract Deputy Program Manager-Safety Officer, and Critical Life Support Systems chief engineer and engineering staff.
