Project Management

Oceaneering – Marine Services Division’s Project Managers provide the leadership our customers require to ensure quality products that conform to the technical requirements, and are delivered on schedule and within budget. Largely through the use of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) guidelines, our On-Site Management teams are fully capable of effectively planning and executing both long-term programs and short notice emergent work.

Typical projects include:

  • Installation of a wide range of ship alterations on U. S. Navy vessels
  • Overhaul, repairs, and other emergent work on Navy submarines and Dry Deck Shelters, and Coast Guard and Maritime Administration vessels
  • Providing subcontracted services to Naval Shipyards and other Fleet Support Activities

Project Managers:

Our Project Managers are the customer’s primary points-of-contact, accountable for quality, cost, and schedule of the project through all phases from planning to execution, and through completion and final reporting.  They are fully and solely responsible for the entire scope of work and meeting the customer’s cost and schedule agreements. The Project Manager relies on the various work support departments in OII-MSD to provide the tools, skills and work instructions needed to achieve these goals. Specific aspects of these responsibilities include:

  • Bids & Proposals for contracts
  • Quotes for specific delivery orders
  • Development of the project execution plans
  • On the deckplate oversight of work in progress
  • Review and evaluation of project status and budget metrics
  • Providing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) information to customer
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
