Oceaneering – Marine Services Division supports the Navy’s Deep Submergence community in routine, planned maintenance and emergent repair tasks.

Projects Include:

  • Accomplishment of scheduled availabilities, including Lead Maintenance Activity for Dry Deck Shelter Overhauls
  • In-place machining of Watertight Doors and Hatches
  • Structural repairs including welding of Pressure Hull and Non Pressure Hull items of materials such as HY-80 and HY-100 steels
  • Hydraulic system repairs and flushes
  • Oxygen and Diver’s Life Support system cleaning
  • Industrial measurement support – Hull form analysis, thickness mapping
  • In-place and ship-to-shop repairs of valves, including hydraulic and pneumatic control valves
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Installation of Field Changes, SHIPALTS, OPALTS and TEMPALTS

Oceaneering’s Deep Submergence Systems Program is fully capable of and qualified to perform work on all U.S. Navy Deep Submergence and Diver’s Life Support systems.  Our trained craftsmen can support repairs and alterations to Piping, Electrical, Mechanical and Structural components.

We regularly perform work on Diver’s Air and Oxygen Clean systems and components. We have over 20 NAVSEA approved welding procedures for various material and process combinations including HY-100, HY-80, CRES, NICU, Inconel, Ferralium and CUNI.

Our NDT Program provides Level II and Level III services for VT, MT, PT, UT, (thickness and flaw detection), and ET.  Our Quality System meets the requirements of the System Certification Procedures and Criteria Manual For Deep Submergence Systems (SS800-AG-MAN-010/P-9290) and is audited by NAVSEA on an annual basis.

We are the Government’s Preferred Vendor for Dry Deck Shelter Overhauls and Repairs.
