The show door is a pneumatically actuated free standing system that can be completely self contained or controlled via a customer provided controller. The standard door system travels vertically 10-feet with a 20 foot structural overhead. The standard door is 13 feet wide but it can vary. The 29-ft wide door utilizes 2 mechanisms and 2 doors. The system is designed fail-safe; the door will open when unpowered or in an emergency stop situation. Single point failures have been eliminated in the drive system, overhead structures and components.
The show doors are a counter weighted cable system that uses 2 pneumatic cylinders to pull the door down. The cylinders strokes 5 ft due to the 2:1 cabling advantage and moves the door 10 feet. In the event of a loss of signal to the pneumatic valve, the counterweight drops raising the door.
The system can be installed in an existing facility due to its modular assembly. It is designed to anchor to a standard 6 inch slab. Facilities requirements are limited to standard shop air and if self controlled 120vac at 20 amps. Much of the structure can be dry walled into make a light and sound tight interface between scenes.
