Oceaneering Advanced Technologies’ (ADTECH) Manufacturing Group offers an experienced team of engineers, technicians, fabricators, and support staff to produce cost-effective, customized Shelters to fulfill the specific needs and requirements of our diverse clientele. Our personnel are involved from the initial design stages and perform all modifications to existing steel watertight cargo containers, transforming them into operational Shelters. We developed this method to provide customers with a quality, low-cost alternative to the DoD military specification Shelters.
ADTECH Manufacturing’s customized Shelters are completely outfitted with all electrical hardware, HVAC equipment, power sources, and appropriate lighting ranging in sizes from 10 to 40 feet long. ADTECH Manufacturing’s customized Shelters can also include amenities such as alarm, telephone, audio/video, and satellite and radar equipment. Each Shelter is custom integrated to meet the needs of the mission at hand.
Our extensive history includes a long list of successful engineering and manufacturing contracts with the U.S. Navy, NASA, and numerous large defense companies. Our Shelters are currently being used as laboratories, mobile command and control centers, torpedo maintenance Shelters, and radar test/integration Shelters. The Shelters built by our experienced staff are multi-modal; transportable by air, rail, sea, and land.
ADTECH Manufacturing’s Shelters are designed to be moved easily with cranes or forklifts from a flatbed trailer to land-based facilities or for use on vessels of opportunity. ADTECH Manufacturing has also integrated Shelters onto trailers with independent leveling mechanisms to accommodate rough terrain or irregular ship deck installations. Our extensive experience with marine systems has enabled us to build watertight Shelters able to withstand the rigors of a prolonged tour at sea.

- Construction: Near new, steel, dry cargo container
- Exterior modifications: Personnel doors, escape hatches, power re-entry panels, data entry panels, HVAC provisions, roof platforms, access ladders
- Interior modifications: Insulated walls and ceiling, climate control (HVAC), acoustic walls/ceilings, lighting, finished walls, carpeted/tiled, laminate flooring, electrical requirements, office furniture, shelving, etc.
- General options: Alarm system, telephone system, equipment install (soft mounted or hard), incandescent recessed lighting, complete electrical wiring and integration of supplied equipment and or equipment designed and built by Oceaneering
