Mobilized for a long term contract on the Multi Purpose Service Vessel (MPSV) Austral Abrolhos, Oceaneering’s Magnum® 167 Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) is operating in the Bijupirá & Salema and Parque das Conchas (formerly BC-10) fields in the Campos Basin in Brazil, a growing offshore oil and gas deepwater development area.
The ROV, designed, manufactured and operated by Oceaneering International, Inc. is performing drill support operations over a 4-year period, including well sealant injections, override tool installations, survey, inspection, and other tasks for the customer. Standard and custom ROV tooling from Oceaneering’s Deepwater Technical Solutions (DTS) group is available to the project from a Brazilian DTS location in Macae.
